Ingredients
- 1 bottle of white wine
- 400ml apple juice
- 2 sticks of cinnamon
- 2 star anise
- 100g demerera sugar
- 1 orange, strips of rind

Description
On a chilly Bonfire night, a glass of this hot wine is a great way of warming you up from top to toe.

Place all of the ingredients in a saucepan over a medium heat.
Stir until the sugar has dissolved and continue to heat for about 10 minutes so that all the flavours infuse. Make sure you don't allow the wine to boil, as you will lose all of the alcohol.
Serve in heatproof glasses or mugs.
Chef's Tips
If you prefer, red wine can be used instead of white
