Origin Pinot Grigio Organic

The nation's favourite tipple in an organic bundle. A great value wine,Β from Italy's ever popular Pinot Grigio grape. This wine is perfectly balanced with juicy pear and peach notes and soft floral aromas

Description

This recipe is dedicted to my daughter's friend Annie B (Aka "BB") who kindly gave me the recipe after my daughter described it as the nicest cake she had ever eaten!

Method

  1. 1

Pour tea over sugar and dried fruit, give it a whirl and leave overnight preferably or a couple of hours if you can't wait! Stir in one beaten egg and two mugs of self raising flour. If you fancy at this stage throw in a mashed banana or two or some ground almonds, or a handful of porridge oats, or some cherries and a bit of mixed spice or whatever you have hanging around at the time! Put into a loaf tin and bake at around 150 degrees for round about an hour. Usually works out, no matter what you throw in! Slice, butter and eat!

Chef's Tips

If you're hungry and you can't keep your hands off it then this cake can be eaten straight away, but what you need is a measure of self control and to save it for the next day as it will taste even better!

I know this recipe as Yorkshire Tea Bread and Irish Tea Brack - doesn't matter as it is yummy and the best of British cookery!
