Description
A perfect autumn treat and definitely a childhood favourite of mine. Serves 4-6, depending on how greedy you're feeling.

Pre-heat the oven to 190c
Mix together the fruit with the lemon juice and 50g of caster sugar in an ovenproof dish
In a separate bowl mix the nutmeg with the flour
Rub the cubed butter into the flour until you get a mixture resembling fine breadcrumbs
Mix in the caster and brown sugar
Put the crumble mix on top of the fruit (you may find you have too much crumble mixture, in which case you can freeze some)
Bake the crumble in the oven for approximately 45 minutes, or until golden brown
Serve with custard or cream (optional)
