Dad's Russian Salad

A tasty mixed salad which goes well with cold fish or meat and makes a colourful addition to a cold buffet

   wash and finely chop all the solid ingredients and mix well in a serving bowl, keeping the beetroot until last.
   
   Add salad cream and stir in.
   
   Note: Salad cream adds to the flavour of the dish and is better than mayonnaise for this recipe. If you don't have spring onions you can substitute a small salad onion.
   
   You can also be creative and add additional vegetables (eg chopped sweet peppers) if you wish.
