Nederburg Cabernet Sauvignon Rose

Nederburg Cabernet Sauvignon Rose

This beautiful rose wine is made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, fruit driven, refreshing with abundance of berry flavours and a pleasant long finish.

Description

Mary Berry book of cakes a author who has given me the joy of baking cakes. Also Delia Smith book of cakes who has taught me how to cook.

Method

  1. 1

This is an all in one mix so put all the ingredients for the cakes in a big bowl.

  2. 2

Mix with an electric mixer for two minutes. Or by hand with a wooden spoon.

  3. 3

The mix should be smooth and fall off the mixer/spoon easy.

  4. 4

Put 12 bun cases on a bun tin and spoon the batter into each of the cases until all the batter is equal in each case.

  5. 5

Bake for about 15-20 minutes at 180ยฐC, 350ยฐF or Gas Mark 6.

  6. 6

To test the cakes put a cocktail stick in the middle of the cake and if it comes out clean they're cooked.

  7. 7

To decorate the cakes make the butter icing put the butter in a bowl and beat then add the icing sugar and milk and beat with the electric mixer.

  8. 8

Put into a piping bag or spoon on with a blunt knife.

Chef's Tips

you can use an ice cream / potato scoop to share out the cake batter.
you could pipe the mixture into the cases.
you could make chocolate ones by putting 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder but take out 1 tablespoon of flour out.

Great recipe - turned out really light and fluffy - I made half vanilla and half chocolate sponges all with vanilla icing
