Origin Pinot Grigio Organic

The nation's favourite tipple in an organic bundle. A great value wine,Β from Italy's ever popular Pinot Grigio grape. This wine is perfectly balanced with juicy pear and peach notes and soft floral aromas

Description

A very good, simple recipe but one I actually cook if I have to cook at all...

Method

  1. 1

    1. Go to the shops and pick up all the ingredients – I notice this is never included in the preparation time. Allow 4 hours if you get stuck on the A21.
    2. Peel and dice your tomatoes. My mother sticks them in boiling water to get the skins off. I simply fiddle around for hours to peel little bits of skin off at a time
    3. Take your fresh basil and chop it up very finely with your hands a blur like a ninja. Chuck it into your tomatoes. Add a tablespoon (that is the large one) of olive oil and then one of white wine vinegar. A bit of salt and pepper. Leave to stand.
    4. Now for the tiger prawns. If you have bought frozen ones and have forgotten to defrost them, then go an watch TV for a about an hour. However if not, peel them out of the shell and by cutting down the back clean out the brown line running down the back. Don't ask just trust me on this. Then rinse and dry off with paper towel. Season with salt and pepper.
    5. Start cooking your pasta now by putting in boiling water. I add a bit of olive oil and some salt to the boiling water as it makes me feel like a top chef. Look at the packet for the time required or occassionally pull a bit of pasta out and throw it at the fridge door. If it sticks it is done perfectly. Remember to remove the pasta from the fridge door as after about a day it welds itself on and you will need to get it off with a small chivel.
    6. Take a big frying pan, add a glug of olive oil, wait until it is very hot and then chuck in the prawns and stir fry for about two to three minutes, add the garlic which you will have chopped finely (forgot about that) and then keep frying away for about another two minutes until the prawns are nice and pink.
    7. Pour in the tomato sauce you made earlier, stir around for a little bit.
    8. Drain the pasta and put it all on a plate garnished with some chopped basil.
    9. Sit down either with a random group of smug looking sloane rangers and eat while accompanied by a Stereophonics track, or sit on your own and watch Top Gear.
    10. Done!

Yours in a cheese and wine wine sauce
