Description

These vibrant green garden sushi rolls are a refreshing twist on traditional sushi. Filled with crunchy vegetables and wrapped in wholesome nori sheets, they make for a healthy and delightful brunch option that everyone will love.

Method

  1. 1

Prepare brown rice according to package instructions and allow it to cool completely.

  2. 2

Lay a bamboo sushi mat on a flat surface and place a sheet of nori, shiny side down, on top of the mat.

  3. 3

Moisten your hands and take a handful of brown rice, spreading it evenly over the nori sheet, leaving a 2 cm border on the top edge.

  4. 4

Arrange a selection of various vegetables โ€“ cucumber, bell pepper, and avocado โ€“ in a horizontal line across the middle of the rice-covered nori.

  5. 5

With the help of the sushi mat, tightly roll the nori over the filling while pressing gently to keep it compact, making sure to roll towards the bare edge of the nori.

  6. 6

Seal the edge with a little water, then repeat the process for remaining nori sheets.

  7. 7

Using a sharp knife, slice each roll into bite-sized pieces and arrange them on a platter with currant soy sauce artistically drizzled around.

  8. 8

Optional: Garnish the platter with sesame seeds and watercress for added color and vibrancy.
