Nederburg Cabernet Sauvignon Rose
This beautiful rose wine is made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, fruit driven, refreshing with abundance of berry flavours and a pleasant long finish.
Description
this is a saucy, smokey delight. I prefer to smoke a boneless pork butt for this, but you can roast it in the oven if you can't smoke your meat.
Method
-
1
sweat onion and garlic in a sauce pan until cooked through.Add remaining ingredients .Bring to near boil, then reduce heat to lowest setting (as you would to cook rice.). Allow to cook as you would any sauce(the longer the better),stirring frequently.
place roasted pork on a cutting board or large platter.Using 2 forks, begin pulling at the pork in opposite directions, shredding the meat.
Place shredded pork into a large bowl.
When the sauce is thick like HP Sauce, pour over the shredded pork and toss to coat.
serve on burger buns with plenty of napkins!
Enjoy!
Chef's Tips
if you have pan drippings from the pork, toss the shredded pork in it for added flavour before saucing.
This is known as a "wet bbq"...Memphis bbq,is served with the pork tossed in "dry rub"(brown sugar, sea salt, galic nd onion powders, cayenne, etc.)with a thinner vinegar based sauce ladled over the meat.
This is good basic sauce recipe."play with it",try honey, dry mustard, thyme and mop it over grilled chicken during it's last 5 minutes over the fire.
