For the Miltart Cases
You can either make your own or you can use small or big shop bought ones.
Set oven to 200 degrees Celsius
Mix all dry ingredients
Rub in butter
Mix eggs and milk separately then add to butter and dry ingredient mixture
Mix into a dough
Roll out to the required thickness (5mm) and press into flan tins
Bake for 5 minutes
(You can keep the baked cases in an air tight container for up to a month)
Milktart Filling
Place milk in a large heavy bottom saucepan and add the butter, place on low heat until almost boiling point
Mix dry ingredients with a bit of milk
Beat the sugar and eggs and add to dry mixture
Mix half of the milk mixture with the dry mixture and mix well (I use my electric Kenwood mixer)
Pour mixture back into saucepan and stir until the mixture thickens (This can take up to 15 minutes)
Stir in vanilla and mix well (In electric mixer if there are any lumps)
Pour into small or large milktart cases (roughly 24 small or two to four large cases)
Allow to cool and sprinkle with Cinnamon
Enjoy!
In the MILKTART ingredients there is no mention of how much milk to use in the cases part of recipe.
