Description
This is a traditional British dish, rarely used today. It is very spicy, but very simple.
Method
-
1
1) Dice onion and garlic. Add to the pan.
2) Peel and cube potatoes. Add to pan.
3) Fill pan with water and leave to boil.
4) When boiling, add lentils and reduce heat.
Simmer til lentils are cooked.
5) Make up 1/2 cup of gravy using granules
(I use beef, but you can buy different
types - vegetarian is very nice).
6) Add gravy and stir in. Add pepper and
chilli to personal taste.
7) Simmer for 15 mins.
8) Serve with bread. I usually warm it in
oven for 5 mins first.
H sorry I forgot to say you add the fish at the same time as the lentils.
