- 8 oz sugar (brown or white)
- 2 oz marg
- 8 oz mixed fruit
- 8 fluid oz milk
- 8 oz Self-raising flour
- 1 egg

1.Put the sugar, marg, milk and fruit in the pan and bring to the boil.
2.Cool for 10 mins.
3.Stir in the flour and egg and beat well.
4.Put the mixture in a 2lb loaf tin.
5.Cook for 1 hour at 140 degrees celsius.
