Stoneleigh Vineyards Pinot Noir

Trapiche is situated in the Mendoza region of Argentina. The winery was established in 1883 and they are well known for producing quality wine at affordable prices. This is a great example of Sauvignon Blanc from the Mendoza region. Fresh aromas of grapefruit, crisp blackcurrant leaf, green pepper and grassy back notes. Buy this wine if you like: Dry whites with lively fruit and fragrant aromatics.

Description

My kids love this recipe specially the homemade noodles

Method

  1. 1

Salt and pepper the meat to your liking.
Brown roast and onions in olive oil using a roasting pan.
Add 1 cup water to the roasting pan.
Cover the roasting pan and bake at 220 C for approxomately 3 hours and until the meat is tender.

The noodles do not take long to cook so when the roast is nearly cooked, make noodles.
In a bowl mix together the flour and salt and make an indentation in the middle.
Beat egg and milk and pour into indentation.
Stir slowly and until a stiff dough is achieved.
Sprinkle flour on to a rolling board or any flat clean surface.
Now put mixture onto the prepared surface and roll into a thin, large rectangle, about 12 x 15 inches.
Cut into 1/4 inch strips with a sharp knife.

Remove roast from cooking pan and cover it to keep warm.
Now add the beef stock and the other two cups of water to the pan.
Bring to a boil and add the noodles.
Allow them to cook for 8 mins (dont overcook).
Drain and serve with your roast.

Chef's Tips
