Nederburg Cabernet Sauvignon Rose

Nederburg Cabernet Sauvignon Rose

This beautiful rose wine is made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, fruit driven, refreshing with abundance of berry flavours and a pleasant long finish.

Description

Useful this recipe as a cake or pudding with custard for after dinner. Had it in my recipe book for years.

Method

  1. 1

    Grease tin.
Put dates in pan with water and 1 oz sugar and cook over low heat till thick mixture is achieved.
    Mix in vanilla.
Sieve flour and rub in butter with your fingers.
Now stir in sugar and oats.

Turn half the crumble mixture into tin and press down to form the base of the crumble squares.
Spread the date filling mixture on top.
Put rest of flour mix on top of the date filling mixture.
Cook in the oven on 180 to 190 C or gas 4 to 5 for 45 min. Cut squares whilst hot and allow to cool in tin.

Absolutely delicious both eaten warm with icecream, or cold with cup of tea for a snack. Just making my second batch in two days.
