Origin Pinot Grigio Organic

The nation's favourite tipple in an organic bundle. A great value wine,Β from Italy's ever popular Pinot Grigio grape. This wine is perfectly balanced with juicy pear and peach notes and soft floral aromas

Description

This is a great and easy cake to make. My foster mum Daphne first made it for me back in the mid 70's it is a real homely cake.

Method

  1. 1

Melt the marg and syrup in a large pan
Take pan off the heat and add all the dry ingredients
Put egg into cup and add milk to the top
Add mixed egg/milk to the main pot
Add fruit (dried mixed fruit) mix all together
Put mixture into a greased, lined tin
Put tin in oven, Gas 2/300f/149c for 1 1/2 to 2 hours
Test with metal skewer to make sure cake is cooked right through

You can add cherries, coconut, chocolate powder to the mix for a varying taste

This cake is very good, easy to make but don't go expecting a light cake. It keeps well and even after a week is good with custard as a pudding.

You can use either a cup or a mug as long as you stick to the same size throughout the particular cake you are making.
